Truth be told, gaming gatherings like the ESL One would be the last place on Earth you’d think to find me. However, when a trusted brand like Logitech told me that they were participating and launching some products out, what better excuse can there be to attend one right?!
Because of the audience that the very popular DoTA2 franchise commands, the stage was set at the Mall of Asia Arena for its accommodation. At the second floor, a very prominent area right beside the escalators was laced black and blue – colors of Logitech’s gaming line: Logitech G. There was plenty on display but the spotlight was focused on four pedestals each hosting an essential accessory that makes people do a second take because of the way they light up… That’s right, these new ones display color during operation -“Spectrum” is the word to remember if you’re going to ask for them in stores (these are all available now btw).
You can’t really use classy or elegant to describe them, leaning more towards “robust”and “flashy” yet at the same time reliable and extremely functional… It is Logitech after all ^^ The top tier of their Spectrum lineup comes in the form of a mechanical keyboard – the G810 Orion Spectrum (PHP 9,150), a wired tune-able mouse – the G502 Proteus Spectrum (PHP 3,990), and a 7.1 surround headset – the G633 Artemis Spectrum (PHP 7,900). An additional keyboard made it to the podium in the form of Orion Brown which feature white individual key backlighting and Cherry Brown switches which is quite popular among mechanical keyboard builds.
Now just because I don’t game as much doesn’t mean these accessories have no chance with me. I happen to use a keyboard separate from my laptop and this Artemis is simply quite the looker… especially on me ^^
Logitech G’s tagline – “Game with Passion, Win with Science” is really very fitting seeing the current designs theyre putting out especially if you’ve been following the peripheral company from way before. They had features every so often on stage and one of it showed a G900 Chaos Spectrum (a very advanced wireless mouse) but that has yet to reach our shores… looking forward to when that does happen.
If you’re a gamer and has yet to gear up, look to Logitech G products as they just might be your key to greatness. ^^
