*UPDATE: Laptop Review: Will the Asus Zenbook 14 UX435EG meet this Architect/Content Creator’s needs?
Asus first launched the Zenbook in 2011 and I have been a fan since Day 1. The line stands for sleek, chic, and ultra powerful – all packed in an ultraportable laptop. I have always used a Zenbook since the first edition so I’m excited to share my unboxing of its latest iteration – the Asus Zenbook 14 UX435EG.
The Asus Zenbook 14 comes in two colors: Pine Grey and Lilac Mist. The one I have is the Pine Grey version which exudes professionalism while maintaining that stylish appeal. It also has the signature spun-metal finish that the premium Asus Zenbook 14 is known for.
Being an ultraportable, the Asus Zenbook 14 has an Aluminum Chassis which makes it thin, light, and compact at just 1.19kg and +16.9mm. But don’t let that thinness fool you. When it comes to ports, this latest Zenbook comes fully-featured.
On its left side, there are 2 x Thunderbolt 4 USB-C (up to 40Gbps) ports and 1 x Standard HDMI 2.0. While on its right side you have 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, 1 x Audio combo jack, and 1 x MicroSD card reader.
Once you open it up, the 4-sided NanoEdge Display makes the screen a thing of beauty with its 92% screen-to-body ratio. This particular unit Asus Zenbook 14 UX435EG also comes with the Asus’s ScreenPad 2.0 – now improved and upgraded in its functionality and features.
The precision-engineered ErgoLift hinge is also something that Asus users can enjoy as this allows for a more comfortable typing angle as well as better ventilation around the Asus Zenbook 14.
Now let’s talk power because the UX435EG comes packed with the latest Intel Processor – the 11th Generation Tiger Lake Intel Core i7 CPU with 16Gb of RAM. It also has the NVIDIA GeForce MX450 discrete GPU and 1TB PCIE SSD.
