Happy 2015 everyone!!
I’ve been itching to do this post since the last week of December but a thousand and one things came up so this is happening just now. First, let me welcome you to my (our) new blog! I know you might be thinking, whaaaat a new blog again?? Well, I do feel like I have to explain myself so here’s the long story cut super short:
I used to blog at iamnodaydreamer purely to record my daily thoughts and started welcome to mundanity for my vanity side. Somewhere along the way, the two evolved into a daily dose of katsy which featured a move into the wordpress domain. From design, dine, do, dream, dash, the categories evolved and when I became part of the Avon Makeup Council in 2013, I found myself writing under dazzle more and more.
I ventured into self-hosting addk sometime last April but decided to make the move to katsy faustino in September, thinking that I wanted my online presence to be streamlined under one roof. I am still keeping katsy faustino for 2015 but will most probably turn the site into my online portfolio.
One thing I realized as we headed into the new year (which is mainly why I stopped blogging at katsy faustino in the latter part of 2014), I was drafting more and more posts under beauty than design, travel, and lifestyle. Not that I didn’t think under those other categories but beauty became my outlet and I wanted to explore my thoughts on the subject more, quite more than what having three other categories bugging me to be filled allowed. And finally I figured.
I need to write a beauty blog.
Along with this epiphany came the opportunity for Mark and I to create a blog together and that is how Lipsticks x Lenses evolved from our little passion project on Instagram to a full blog where we will be sharing mostly about beauty (my “hobby”) and photography (his) and also about travel and leisure.
I may have just filled up the blog again with the same number of categories as before but trust me, this is a beauty (and photography) blog. 🙂
