Let’s continue with the Laura Mercier adoration, shall we?
After I got my LM Brush Set (see previous post), I was curious as to what other products Laura Mercier offered best. I was (and still am up to now) quite loyal to MAC but online reviews and magazines repeatedly declared Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer as one of the best if not the best. I was quite pleased to discover that Rustan’s Gateway carried the brand which saved me the trip to Shangri-la just to be able to try out the famous Tinted Moisturizer.
Now if only Gateway carried MAC as well.. But then, it is definitely a good thing for me that it didn’t. Haha.
I was sidetracked by the Stila Tinted Moisturizers which also had good reviews online for a few minutes but I ended up getting the Laura Mercier Flawless Face Kit in Nude. I thought that it was a pretty nifty deal because the travel-sized kit came in a clear pouch (I’m a sucker for travel-sized kits as if I travel all the time) and it gave me the opportunity to try out some of Laura Mercier’s acclaimed products.
Note to self: Perhaps you should take pictures next time? I think I actually did way back when I first got the kit. But sadly, they are currently lost somewhere in my external hard drive that I don’t have with me right now.
The Flawless Face Kit came with the following: (description taken from Sephora’s website and retails online for $65.00)
– 1 oz Foundation Primer
– 0.21 oz Undercover Pot Shade #2
– 1 oz Tinted Moisturizer in Nude or Sand
– Secret Camouflage Brush
– Camouflage Powder Brush
– Velour Puff
– Egg-shaped Sponge
Dresser/Drawer? Both Dresser and Drawer – some of the products in the kit I really use everyday that I wear make-up. The brushes included are high quality and full-sized; I use them for other brands’ products as well. Hello MAC Pro Longwear concealer LOL. I haven’t used the Velour Puff and Egg-shaped Sponge though. The Tinted Moisturizer lives up to the hype but I don’t think Nude is the right shade for me as I find it just a tad bit too light. And I haven’t been going to the beach much yet. The Undercover Pot with the Secret Camouflage and Loose Setting Powder gets plenty of mileage from me but it’s the Powder that I will most probably repurchase. The Foundation Primer I’m still on the fence about because I honestly don’t know what these primers are for. I guess I’d have to do some research on the matter. BUT I must work first.
Happy Monday everyone!
